The 58th running of the Irish Oaks was held on Saturday 19th July 1952 over 1 1/2 miles of The Curragh, starting at the Howth Post. A pot of 5880 sovereigns was availble, 900 sovereigns to the second and 580 sovereigns to the third. The winner was owned by Mr A L Hawkins, trained by Paddy Prendergast and ridden by J Mullane. The winner won by a neck in 2 minutes 32 seconds, with 3 lengths between second and third.
